2.Location of school
The address of the school is as follows.
・Address: CROWN7 BULIDING 2 FLOOR, 8WF5+MH3, POPE JOHN PAUL II AVE, CEBU CITY, CEBU, Philippines
It is located on the second floor of the CROWN7 building on Pope John Paul 2nd Avenue Street in Cebu City.
Tell the cab driver “Crown7 near Gallery in Mabolo”。
*Crown7, where the classroom is located, is right next to The Gallery.
It is located 30 to 40 minutes from Mactan Airport and is the center of Cebu City.
The area surrounding the school is marked by the IT Park and the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, a large hotel.
The Greenery and The Gallery commercial centers are located on both sides of the school, and the University of San Carlos Seminary is nearby.
3.Route to the school
The route from the IT Park to the classroom is shown below.
①If departing from the gate portion of the IT Park (waterfront to the rear)
※The gate you see at the back is the gate to the IT Park.
② You will be asked to proceed to the right side of the IT Park towards the gate.
③ There is an intersection, please go straight.
④ After a short walk, you will see a commercial area called The Greenery.
The commercial area in the back of the building is The Greenery. Restaurants and cafes are located in this area.
⑤ If you go a little further from The Greenery, you will find the building where the classrooms are located ( Crown 7 ).
⑥ Please enter through the building entrance and go to the classroom on the second floor.
4.Pre-departure Preparation
Passport | Please note the expiration date. The validity period must be at least 6 months counting from the date of return. |
Airline ticket | Even if you plan to stay in the Philippines for a long period of time, you will need to take a departure flight out of the Philippines in advance. A return flight to Japan or an outbound flight to a third country such as Singapore or Malaysia is required. Even if you plan to stay in the Philippines for a long period of time, we ask that you prepare an exit ticket (discarded ticket) for a stay of less than 30 days. Please contact us for details. |
Overseas insurance | We recommend that you purchase insurance. |

5.About Airline Ticket
The only airport in Cebu is “Mactan Cebu International Airport”. There are direct flights from Japan, and flights via Manila and Korea.
*You will need to purchase a round-trip ticket or a flight out of the Philippines, such as to Singapore or Malaysia, in advance. If you plan to stay in the Philippines for more than 4 weeks, you will need to apply for an extension of your tourist visa after you arrive in the country.
(A 30-day tourist visa is automatically granted upon entry into the Philippines.)
6.Access from the airport to nearby condominiums
This is an image of the route from the airport, which takes about 30 minutes.
Cab transportation will be provided. The fare to the area around the school will range from 300 pesos to 500 pesos.
(In case of traffic jams, it may take about 500 pesos.)
The cost in Japanese yen is about 700 to 1,200 yen.
If there is no traffic jam, it will take about 30 minutes to reach the area. There are regular cabs, airport cabs (yellow cabs), and cabs that will pick you up and drop you off for a set fee.

2.Waterfront Hotel: about 30 minutes
The classrooms will be in the vicinity of the IT Park, and the condominiums will be in the vicinity of the IT Park and the classrooms.

*Tipping culture is basically non-existent in the Philippines. Please pay the cost of the meter. A tip of 20 or 50 pesos may be given only to esthetic and massage parlors.

Cash | Currency exchange is available at IT parks and various commercial facilities and shopping malls. |
Smart phone | If the device is SIM-free, it can be used as in Japan by inserting a local SIM. |
Mask | We recommend that you buy them in Japan and bring them in. Most of our products are of good quality and inexpensive in Japan. |
Debit card Credit card | If you are a long-term student, a debit card that is compatible with ATMs overseas will be very useful. Credit cards such as VISA and MasterCard are accepted at most stores. VISA debit cards that are compatible with overseas ATMs are accepted by Rakuten, Paypay Bank, Sony Bank, and other banks. |
Electronic dictionary Dictionary Apps | We recommend that you use one that can be used in situations where there is no Internet access so that you can use it during lessons. |
Writing implement | They can be purchased locally, but we recommend that you bring your own. |
Grammar books Reference books Vocabulary books | Lessons are given in English. Therefore, it is helpful to have a reference book in Japanese as well. |
Clothing | The climate in Cebu is similar to that of summer in Japan. However, shopping malls and other places can be very air-conditioned, so it is useful to have something to wrap yourself in. |
Daily necessities | Body soap and shampoo are readily available locally. Cosmetic products can also be purchased at drugstores. |
Household medicine | Cold medicine, stomach medicine, anti-diarrhea medicine, painkillers, eye drops, anti-itch medicine, etc. |
Various electrical appliances | The voltage in the Philippines is 220V. If a transformer is built in, the battery can be charged without a transformer, but if not, a transformer is required. |
*Most things can be purchased in Cebu. Items that are difficult to purchase locally include Japanese books, magazines, and computers with Japanese keyboards.
*For daily necessities and clothing, we recommend that you purchase them locally.
8.Required local fees
Study permit fee | A Special Study Permit is applied for from the Philippine government. In addition to a tourist visa, this study permit allows you to study legally. Please check the local fees for details. |
Visa Extension Fee /Alien Registration Card | If you wish to stay in the Philippines for more than 30 days, you will need to extend your tourist visa. Extensions are available locally. You can also apply for the extension yourself. (If the school staff applies for the extension, the actual cost plus 500 to 1,000 pesos will be charged. |
expenses incurred during a stay | For Air bnb, accommodation, electricity, and water are included in the cost. If you sign a separate condo lease, you will need to pay rent, electricity, and water each month. |
food expense | Local eateries offer meals for around 100 to 200 pesos. |
laundry charges | There are many laundry shops in Cebu. They will wash and dry your clothes for as little as 50 yen per kilo. If you bring your clothes in the morning, they will be ready the next afternoon. |
